Deborah Lippmann- Glamourous Life

Deborah Lippmann nail polishes are my lacquer weakness and  I have been lusting after one for ages! Ever since I saw the mermaids collection she bought out I knew I needed to have these nail polishes in my life! Now in the UK Deborah Lippmann isn't really that easy to find (well at least for me anyway!), however I spotted these gorgeous nail polishes from afar in a House of Fraser (heart stops...). Now they didn't have every colour there that Deborah Lippmann has to offer but enough shades all the same, and colours that have you looking at your finger tips every minute. These polishes retail for around £14 a bottle ( I know it's a lot) however it's worth investing in especially if you really like the colour, right? The only small issue I have with these nail polishes is the brush it's quite long and thin and for someone who is more used to the Essie wide-set brushes you have to be a little more careful with the application for the Lippmann lacquers.

I picked up the colour Glamorous Life a metallic rose gold, seriously I am so obsessed with rose gold I think it's ever since I got my Coach watch for my Birthday! This colour is honestly gorgeous and it really does look nice on the nails. The only little niggle I have with this polish is that on the first application of it, it does come off a little streaky however that is solved and hidden away on the second application.

So Deborah Lippmann polishes have cemented there way into a place in my beauty lovers heart. I honestly love the polishes and I'm already eyeing up a few more that I want! I also made my sister get one to and she opted for buying Wicked Game and iridescent purply grey colour...so pretty! Have you tried the Deborah Lippmann Polishes, which ones are your favourite? Let me know and I hope you have a lovely week! x

The Coveted Collection Concealer

The Collection concealer a highly raved about product in the beauty community and I can kind of see why!

Now it did take me a long time to actually purchase this product and the only reason for that was due to the fact that I hardly wear foundation or concealer as A) I don’t feel the need to wear it and B) I have quite a few blemishes on my face and I don’t really want to aggravate them by covering them with makeup. Although with that aside let’s get on with my views on this product.

First of all quite standard packaging if I’m honest nothing special but considering this concealer only costs £4.19 it’s really inexpensive plus I think I got mine on sale or something because it only cost me £2! In terms of covering up blemishes this didn’t really work for me personally it actually felt quite cakey and heavy on my skin and didn’t do the best job at covering the redness (sad times!), however that could be due to the fact that my skin was quite bad back when I purchased this but still I don’t think this concealer will be being used for covering up my blemishes any time soon. Saying that though this concealer is great for covering my under eye circles, not that they are ridiculously bad it just does a good job of covering them…so great! Also I have been using this a lot lately for kind of priming my eyelids before applying my Maybelline colour tattoo and MAC’s patina on top of it, don’t really know if it’s a good idea but it works for me and I feel my shadow stays on a lot longer, so result! The shade range however is quite limited and I believe they have changed the names of the colours? I think I was right for going with number 2 as I feel the lightest shade Collection offer would be far to light on my skin.

All in all the hyped about raved concealer ended up being relatively average for me nothing to particularly scream about, what are your thoughts on this concealer? Let me know in a comment below. Hope you all have a lovely weekend! X

Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed

This would be my first purchase from the Soap & Glory skincare line and having heard quite a bit about their skincare line from various YouTuber’s I thought I would try out this product from the range. Now this retails for £11.50 so it’s not too bad price wise for good skincare. I’ve waited a few weeks to road test this so I could give this product a proper full review and the verdict is… it’s a good product, but I feel I may have to let my skin get used to it!

No clogs allowed is specifically targeted for oily/combination skin, now I have normal to dry skin and this product still worked for me. Now it suggests using this once a week, I personally would say you could use this every two weeks as I found that it really did kind of strip my skin, I mean it got rid of for the lack of a better word, crap from my skin, however I did find that after my second use I got quite a bad blemish from it! This product definitely cleanses your skin but mine did feel overly stripped.  Now to apply this product you take a grape size amount and apply this to dry skin first all over your face, you then wet your hands and scrub in the mask until you see it starts to turn blue…cool right?! Another quite cool thing about this mask is that it does heat up when you’re scrubbing the mask in (is it sad that I find that cool?) so it does feel like it’s doing something, which is good! Then you leave it on for 5 minutes and then with a wet washcloth simply rub it all off, and there we are done!

The packaging is the classic Soap & Glory packaging, and the mask comes in a tube, and there is a lot of product in it 100ml, so you could get quite a lot of uses out of it (this will help you justify the price of it!). One thing you should know is that is does have a scent to it, it’s not that bad and I don’t mind it; it’s almost minty/fruity ish?

So, my first product from the Soap & Glory skin care line and I can say that I was impressed, as always this product will work for some people and won’t for others but if you’re in the market for a face mask that quite literally cleans out all the clogs in your skin, then this may be for you! It's also available at Boots if you want to get your hands on it, plus there is a 1/3 off selected Soap & Glory skincare right now at Boots! Hope you enjoyed reading this and I hope you have a lovely week! X

I Heart Spring Tag!

I saw this tag on Sophie’s blog Perfect and Polished and I thought why not? It’s spring and there is a Tag about it going round the blogosphere, that only means one thing, I’m answering it! :P

Favourite Spring Nail Polish?

This would have to be Essie’s Fiji, it’s a beautiful light pink colour and is by far my favourite Essie nail polish ever! (I know bold statement right!). I just feel this is the perfect spring nail polish colour.

What is your must have lip colour this Spring?

I normally opt for pink/neutral lip colours in the spring (or any time of year really) but my must-have lip colour is probably MAC’s Angel, it’s a frost and is such a lovely pink colour and smells amazing!

Show us your favourite Spring dress!

This is a dress that I actually bought back in the summer, it’s surprisingly from Primark (not normally a shop that I find things I like in) and I remember wanting this dress after I saw it in one of Zoella’s Primark hauls, I instantly wanted the dress after I’d watched the video. It’s great for both spring and summer, I love the colours, it’s flowy and the material is quite light perfect for those hot days (that’s if England has any!), plus it has a collar, bonus!

What’s your favourite flower?

My favourite flower would be roses, I like pink, yellow and red roses of course, and also we have always had roses growing outside of our house since I was little so maybe that’s why I like them so much? (Feeling sentimental)

Favourite Spring scarf/accessory?

Well I don’t have a specific item that reminds me of spring but I do like wearing light scarves as layering pieces when I’m going out, they kind of tie the outfit together.

What spring trends are you most excited about this year? (Makeup, fashion, etc.)

I think rose gold is here to stay, so I’m all set with my Coach watch and my perfect rose gold nail polish from Deborah Lippmann (post coming soon!). Also the minimal makeup trend and lighter coloured eye-shadows as well!

Favourite Spring candle?

Well I don’t really ever burn candles, so can’t really answer this :/

Favourite body spray/perfume for Spring?

I don’t just have a particular scent for Spring but I’ve been wearing my Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Enchanted a lot lately!

What is Spring like where you live?

Living in England you don’t really know if it’s going to be great and sunny or dull and windy or chucking it down with rain. We do get the occasional sunny warm day but that is a rarity here!

What’s your favourite thing about Spring?

The typical answer would be that I’m glad that nicer weather is on its way (here’s hoping!), and all the lovely blossoms on the trees and flowers blooming (blah, blah, blah) in all honesty Spring means one thing Easter is on its way. Mini eggs are the best!!!

Are you a Spring cleaner?

Yes! I hate mess, and I can’t say my room is ever messy; I’m just a bit of a clean freak!

Any plans for Spring break or an upcoming vacation?

Well my Easter holidays usually consist of my gran coming down to visit us, shopping, shopping and more shopping and probably revising for my upcoming exams (the joy!). Also hanging out with friends!

I tag anyone who read this to do this Tag; also I am going to tag Beth, Chloe and Becky to do this tag! Hope you like reading this and I hope you have a lovely weekend! X

Outfit Post- It's A Classic

Just a little outfit post, I thought I would put together a look that is classic, simple and chic and perfect for a night out! Instead of your classic little black dress I've opted for a black playsuit, maybe not the most convenient thing to wear on a night out but never the less it looks good! Paired with some cut out black shoe boots, black clutch and to add a pop of colour to the look statement red lips and to finish off a glittery silver/black manicure!

Miss Selfridge-Playsuit
 MAC Ruby Woo-Lipstick
 New Look-Shoe Boots
River Island-Clutch
Essie Nail Polish in-Ignite the Night

Hope you liked this and maybe it gave you some inspiration for an outfit that is perfect for a night out? Hope you have a great rest of the week! x

The Weekend Want List

Now I think we can all agree that we like to lust after beauty products every once in a while and I tend to do this at the weekend with a bit of online window shopping. It’s where I go to my favourite sites for buying beauty products, even though I do prefer to buy them in store, so online shopping provides the perfect excuse to look at potential beauty products that I want in my collection. So below are just a few of the products that have caught my eye, even though most I’ve kind of wanted for a while…whoops!

This I have looked at every time I’ve walked past it in my Debenhams store, still it’s a gorgeous palette with colours that I adore and HELLO!?, rose gold case (how cute?). The new one in the line-up of the Naked palettes and is probably my favourite out of the 3, but I am torn between this one and the original Naked palette…HELP!!!

The first time I smelt this perfume I didn’t quite know if I liked it or not, however getting a sample of it made me realise how much I love this scent, it wears beautifully throughout the day as well! The only issue with this product is the price, it’s the most expensive item featured in this post…but it smells so good!

The classic eyeshadow that is loved by many MAC fans, and I have to say I completely understand why everyone loves the shadow, it’s a beautiful colour that can be swept all over the lid for a daytime look (if you like shimmer that is), or used for a night look with a dark crease colour blended through the socket. This will probably be the next MAC shadow that I purchase, as I love my other single shadow Patina as well!!

Now I’ve liked this for a while ever since some of my favourite beauty guru’s on YouTube have been talking about this line of gloss sticks from Soap & Glory. I’ve never tried any cosmetics from the Soap & Glory line so this could be the first!

Another lip product on the want list! Well this one is slightly more expensive than the first :/ but it is such a gorgeous colour! Also it’s perfect to wear during the day as well as at night, plus what girl doesn’t want a Chanel lipstick?

I have wanted to try matte nails for a while and considering they are on trend and were seen on various catwalks from London Fashion Week, this only gives me more incentive to go and buy some. I like the range that Barry M has come out with and in particular shades Vanilla and Crush which will probably be added to my collection, plus my sister has been wanting a matte black nail polish and this collection also has one called Espresso. I also really like the colour Mediterranean from the Barry M Aquamarine collection (definitely worth checking out!).

Now I’ve had this before but I need to buy it again, the smell is amazing and it’s great for your skin, if you haven’t tried this…then do! Enough said I think :P

So that’s it for my weekend want list, what’s on yours? If you have any recommendations then let me know! All the products I've linked above and I hope you all have a lovely weekend! x
