I think most people remember their first MAC lipstick purchase and mine so happens to be Angel. Now it is definitely an overwhelming task when choosing your first MAC lipstick as they have so many different colours along with different finishes, but fear not take your time choosing one, I know I kind of binged looking through different blog posts and YouTube videos to see what lipstick I would like to purchase first.
So Angel it's a really nice neutral pink colour nothing too bright and bold and I feel this really suits my skin tone as well. It does have a frost finish, now some of the frost finish lipsticks are quite shimmery (so be weary of that), however I would advise that you swatch them as the shade Angel really doesn't have that much shimmer to it. The wear time for this lipstick is not the best you could get away with it for 2 hours max but you will definitely have to re-apply! This lipstick is slightly glossy but not too much and it gives a nice wash of colour over the lips. I tend to apply this straight from the bullet then smooth and work it in with my fingers as that's what works best for me, you could always apply it with a lip brush also though! Plus who could forget the scent that these lipsticks have it's very vanilla and cake like, bonus points there MAC!
Overall even though I have bought this lipstick over a year ago I haven't given it as much love as what I should have considering I spent £15.00 on it!! Now MAC lipsticks I feel will always be hyped about and everyone wants to add one to their beauty collection, am I right? The lipsticks are alright price wise in comparison to some other high end brands but I feel you can easily find nice lipsticks at the drugstore also that are just as good! Plus I do still have my eye on a few MAC lipsticks that I would like to add to my collection. I do adore the shade Angel and I'm glad it was my first lipstick choice from MAC but I think I'm going to have to start using it a lot more and since Spring and Summer are coming up I have no reason not to use it!
